William Julius - Pioneer, Church Planter

I moved to Atlantis with my family in 1976 and together with my wife Francis and a few other families, we planted Docks Mission Atlantis on 7 August 1977. I am no longer the Senior Pastor and I serve as the Director of Missions and also as an Advising Elder.

“We must win the lost for Jesus.” – Pastor William Julius

Kevin Julius - Senior Pastor

I was 5 years old when our church was planted in 1977. In 1989, I decided that one day I would follow in my dad’s footsteps. In 2007 our leaders and congregation elected me as the new Senior Pastor, and I was inducted into that new role in March 2008. I am married to Maria and we have one son, Michael.

“This community can be saved.” – Pastor Kevin Julius

Brian Vaughan - Senior Leader

I am married to Karen and we have two daughters, Shannon and Kaylin. I accepted Christ in my life in October 1994 and never regret my decision once. My wife and I joined the Church in 1998. I am currently serving as one of the Senior Leaders. I started working at the Kids Church, thereafter my wife and I led one of the small Life Groups and the Marriage Ministry.

“It was a great honor to work with the Marriage couples and those who wanted to start their marriage on the right path.” – Brian Vaughan

Reginald Apollis - Senior Leader

I am married and we have two children. A few years ago my marriage was in trouble and that’s when I realized I can’t do this alone. I invited Christ into my life and I have not for one minute regretted my decision.

“I love working with and motivating people.” – Reggie Apollis

Christo Poggenpoel - Senior Leader

I am married to Irene we have two kids Ceith and Christen. I am part of our leaders team to be a servant for God and to serve others. Growing up as a young man I had no purpose, no hope no father figure to guide me. I grew up doing all the wrong things and that was not what I wanted for my life. When I read the verse that says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…”, that is when I realize I needed God to guide me.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…” – Christo Poggenpoel

Keenan Pretorius - Senior Leader

Married, no kids. I came to Christ at the age of 19. As a young man I felt this hole like a great emptiness inside of me. I tried many things, but it would only keep me happy for a short period of time. Until I met Jesus Christ, and that emptiness was filled and I was made whole.

“I love serving as a leader, because it’s a great opportunity for me to share Jesus’ love.” – Keenan Pretorius

Mariano Louw - Senior Leader

My wife’s name is Lenelle and my two daughters are Michaela and Marileen. The reason why I like to be one of the leaders in church is because of the mere fact to spread the gospel and be a part of that.

“I know it was His time to change my life for the better.” – Mariano Louw

Wilbur Williams - Senior Leader

I’m married to Michaella and we have two children, Carly and Cayden. Being part of the leadership team gives me the wonderful opportunity to be part of the ideas, the plans, the discussions, the decisions, part of the solution. It gives me the opportunity to make a difference in a small way.

“I love being a servant leader.” – Wilbur Williams

Carl Jacobs - Worship Team

Hi. I’m Carl Gordon Jacobs. Not married. I came to know Christ when I was 19 years old. As a young man of 19, I felt alone, broken, unloved, and that nobody really cared about me. Until I met Jesus Christ. The loneliness was filled with God’s love. Now I get the opportunity to share God’s love with others who are lost, broken and in need of a Saviour.

“I love to share God’s love with others.” – Carl Jacobs
